Every year small and large website alike give their funny bone a work out, and even just see if the general public has become that little less naive.
Since 2004 aprilfoolsdayontheweb.com has been collecting all the big and small April Fools jokes from around the World Wide Web.
One of the most suprising was the Youtube "Rick Rolling" people that wanted to see the featured videos of the day.

I was going to post an article about this a while ago but this article in the Wall Street Journal made me decide to do it now.
I have a GPS from Navman. I've had it for a couple of years. It's not perfect but it now helps me find new clients homes when they hire me.
I first tested it I used it in Sydney and Canberra to see how it copes with major traffic environments. In Sydney the GPS had me trying to turn the wrong way up one way streets and taking the longest possible routes to my destinations.
In Canberra the GPS itself got lost, having me turning down the completely wrong streets, only working out it was going the wrong way after a few minutes. Then going along the main road of Queanbeyan the GPS, for some reason showed me and my car traveling along through a paddock instead of on the road.

You will have noticed a new look to the site over the last couple of days. This is the look that I have been planning and working on since I launched the new site and new purpose for clicksonline.info last year.
Taking into account all the features of the new internet (Web 2.0) and the appearances that the new internet has I have finally been able to make the site as clean and un cluttered as possible.
The launch of the ew look was supposed to coincide with the launching of the next round of advertising, unfortuantly I spoke to some of the staff at Go Transit and unfortuantly the campaign won't be starting for at least another week. This can be a blessing as well as a curse.
I am taking this time prior to the launching of the next ad campaign to make sure I have all the bugs worked out of the site, all the content I have been holding off typing added to the site as well as making sure the business has a strong community involvement and a strong basic client base.
I'll post again soon with details on the new Free PC campaign that I started last week as well as details on future tech tips that I haven't planned yet.

The programme is yet to be added to the listing of free programmes that I recommend , however it just got a lot better.
The DVD movie ripping software Fair Use Wizard, that allows you to get any part or all of a movie off a DVD and watch it on any video device, a mobile phone, iPod or PSP has been made available free for a limited time..
While there is a free "Lite Edition" normally available, the makers of Fair Use Wizard have made their full version free fro the time being. If you want to be able to back up all your DVD's including the commercially bought ones, you can do it and store them in almost perfect quality to watch on any devices.
to down load the programme just click here and follow the directions.

When you want to buy gadgets you look for bargains in the papers or
catalogs but are they the prices most people are willing to pay?
Before
I make a major gadget purchase, from computer parts to home theater set
ups I always check 3 places, American retail websites to find out what
the Yanks are paying, XE.com to find out what the exchange rate puts the US prices to real money, and finally Ebay.com.au to find out what Aussies are willing to pay for the items.
By
doing this it does mean I don't buy all the things I want when I see
they are on special. The have to be at the correct price taking into
account the exchange rate of the Aussie dollar. For example, I didn't
buy my home theater set up until it was $AUS499, the correct exchange
rate to the same model in the US.
Other items are even tougher to
plan for. An iPhone, the new must have gadget for geeks the world over.
It has already been released in the US and Europe but there is no
release timetable for Australia. You can buy an iPhone from Ebay but is
that really the right choice.
At the time of print an 8 gigabyte
iPhone, the low end costs $US399 or $AUS426, however on Ebay.com.au the
iPhone is regularly selling for $AUS600 - 800, nearly twice what they
should. While you can expect to pay a premium for having the iPhone
before it is released in Australia, and having it unlocked so it can
work on any mobile phone network in the country, it is a little too
much to expect.

For nearly a year here in Australia we have had to pay way too much to get our hands on the new games console from Sony, the Playstation 3. (Pictured the XBox 360)
While they have now officially won the next generation DVD war, they are still in last place with the games console race.
This week Sony America revealed they will be launching on the 12th of June a bundle that will include an 80 Gigabyte PS3, as opposed to the 40 we have here, a Dual Shock 3 Controller, with Rumble and motion sensitivity, and a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 all for the price of $US499 . This equates to $AUS533 at time of print.
Always on the hunt for the best deal and the latest information I contacted Sony Australia to see if they had any plans to bring the same bundle, at a similar price to our fair shores. Their response was, "At the current time there has been no announcement of a package deal with Metal Gear Solid 4 at the current time in Australia, this maybe announced in the future and I would recommend checking the www.playstation.com.au for future announcements."
Once again we are left in the cold while people in America can now plan months ahead.
Come on Sony, if you want to have a fighting chance with the PS3, lower the price and give us some information.
